How long have you been in business?

Home security companies come and go constantly. The company you sign up with may only be one or two years old and have little experience in the security industry. There is also no guarantee that they will be around next year.

Intrepid Security & Protection has been in business since 1998. Our company has been family owned and operated for the entire time. Our longevity is due to the fact that we adhere to sound business practices and provide our clients with unparalleled customer service.

Do you keep my account in house or are you a dealer for another security company?

Intrepid Security & Protection is the only alarm company that lets you choose. Many customers want to stay with Intrepid Security & Protection's local monitoring center because of our reputation as Texas #1 privately owned security company. When you choose to remain with us, we guarantee that your account will not be sold. Your home or business will always be monitored from our monitoring center located right here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We handle all of our own installation, service, billing and monitoring.

In addition to our great local service, we are also an authorized affiliate for Security Networks, one of the largest nationwide security companies. Many customers choose Security Networks because of the lower initial installation costs that a nationwide company can provide. Based in Florida, they have an excellent UL listed monitoring center.

Do you have a local monitoring center?

Many alarm companies monitor their customers from an out of state facility.

Intrepid Security & Protection's primary monitoring center is located in Irving, Texas. Because our monitoring center is located right here in Texas, we are constantly aware of any weather changes or emergency situations that may arise across the state.

Do you have a backup monitoring center?

Most alarm companies have only one monitoring center. This is critical when there are natural disasters such as fires, hurricanes or earthquakes. If your single monitoring center is disabled for any reason then you lose security service.

Intrepid Security & Protection actually has two monitoring centers. Our primary center is located in Irving, Texas with a backup monitoring center in Aliso Viejo, California. These identical monitoring centers were deliberately built thousands of miles apart in case of natural or man-made disasters. If one monitoring center goes down for any reason there is always a backup center operational.

Does your warranty cover parts and labor?

Most companies "Extended Warranties" only cover parts but not labor or trip charges. Also, they normally do not cover the backup battery in the main control panel or batteries in wireless devices.

Intrepid Security & Protection's Extended Service Plan is all-inclusive. There is no charge for the repair of problems arising from normal wear and tear. We cover all parts, labor and trip charges. We also cover the backup battery and batteries in all wireless devices.

Do you guarantee your rates not to increase?

Many times a company will sign you up at low monthly rate but will raise your rate on an annual basis. We have had many customers switch from the nationwide companies because their rate would increase $1 to $2 dollars every year.

Intrepid Security & Protection guarantees your rate will not increase during your initial term. We have not had a rate increase in over five years.

What is your rating with the Better Business Bureau?
